The province of Turin is an area rich in natural beauty, places of historical interest and well-equipped sports resorts, but it is also much appreciated for its varied heritage of typical agricultural and food products and gastronomic excellence.
It's with this spirit that we are working towards making our landscape increasingly attractive and pleasant, our towns and tourist resorts better equipped, our operators better organised, rediscovering genuine products and reinventing ancient and delicate recipes with the main aim of giving our visitors a pleasanter stay and improving the quality of life of our inhabitants.
It's with this spirit that the "Basket of typical products from the province of Turin" has been created, an "umbrella logo" which protects and guarantees the fresh and processed typical agricultural and food products of our territory. "Typical" means having production technologies tied to a documented historic tradition, using strictly local ingredients and /or locally grown varieties produced by farms or craftsmen in the province of Turin.
The "range" of the "Basket" today includes 30 products, as well as DOC wines from the province, 1000 producers, 20 sales outlets and about 70 restaurants which take part in the annual promotion activities.
